Everyone is welcome in General Practice. You do not need to provide proof of ID, address, immigration status or an NHS number in order to receive care or see a GP.
We can accept anyone living within the practice boundary as a permanent, temporary or immediate necessary patient.
You may be asked to register with a particular doctor at the time, but you can see any doctor for consultations. All newly registered patients will be invited for an introductory health check with the practice nurse/health care assistant. This will enable us to get to know you and your medical history. If you have any medical condition that requires immediate attention an appointment will be arranged for you to see the doctor. If the practice is not able to register you (as does happen in some cases), you will be informed in writing with the reason for refusal.
