The Practice Team
Adequate modern medical care is not provided by doctors alone. We, therefore, work as a team to provide a comprehensive service. The team is comprised of the doctors, practice nurse and health care assistant. In addition, our complement includes the following, who are all bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors.
Mrs Rashmi Thaman
Responsible for business related matters like compliance, Commissioning and policy affairs. She is also responsible for the day to day operations of the surgery.
The receptionists are your first point of contact with our practice. Their key responsibilities are to book appointments for you by prioritisation and booking you into appropriate clinics and services. Our reception staff is here to help you and to support our doctors and nurses. The receptionists may need to ask you the nature of your problem in order that the doctors can prioritize their telephone callbacks and triage system. However, should you not wish to discuss any details with the receptionist, this is acceptable and they will respect your desire for privacy.
Shahnaz Saeed (Senior Receptionist)
Sheena Begum (Medical Receptionist)
Afnan Al Ezawy (Apprentice)
Our nurses are fully qualified to carry out a wide range of medical services including taking blood samples, removal of sutures, ear syringing and immunizations, family planning, sexual health clinic, and chronic disease registers. Appointments can be made directly with the nurse for these and other health promotion services offered within the practice. Requests for advice on common conditions can also be made directly to the nurse, who will then refer you to a doctor if needed.

Mrs Maxine Samuda (RGN)-Asthma and COPD Lead Nurse
Health Care Assistant

For housebound patients, the district nurse will help with dressings, removal of sutures and injections. She will also help with advice and care of chronically sick and terminally ill patients.
Community Psychiatric Counsellor
A Community Psychiatric Counsellor is attached to the surgery for dedicated counseling and support.
These people help with a variety of social problems. Their team includes the home care organizer, social worker, and occupational therapist.
